The American Legion Post will be closed indefinitely until further notice.

New Statewide Mandate

Effective at 5:00 pm today (March 17), the Governor is declaring a ban on gatherings of 10 people or more.

Additionally, the Governor is declaring an immediate closing of dining rooms in restaurants and bars. Food service establishments (restaurants and bars) are still allowed to do curbside, takeout and delivery.

The Governor is working with the CDC on these guidelines. We will continue to provide updates as we learn further details.

      We encourage you and yours to experience some of the many ongoing activities at Post #449. Such as Dartball, Cards (Sheepshead), Thursday nights is cook-in, burgers,brats and hot dogs, with all the fixins. Friday Night Fish Fry with live music from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. We have sign-in Saturday’s with food and raffles and we have added live music from 8:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. featuring classic rock, oldies, country and jazz. We participate in the following activities which help us to reach out to our deserving Veterans and their families through our support/outreach programs. We visit the V.A. Hospital (Zablocki) to bring them Bingo and smiling faces. We invite the Veterans at the hospital out to our Post for Holiday Parties and Breakfast buffets.
      We have an Honor Guard with a Firing Detail for Holidays, Parades and Funerals. Each year our Post sponsors 13 High School Juniors to Badger Boys State. We award 6 scholarships to High School  Seniors continuing their education through our Post Scholarship Program.
     We visit local schools instilling the values of Americanism.Our Auxiliary provides invaluable support activities to the Veterans. From hosting parties to fundraising.Our Sons of the American Legion Squadron provides additional support to our fundraising activities as well as honoring their Heritage to the family member who has honorably served in any branch of service.By visiting our Post and supporting our activities, you help us with all of our support programs.  When you participate, you are showing Veteran’s you care.
